| 7 Hairy Men! | 22/05/2010 |
7 hairy men "volunteered" to have various body parts waxed for the aptly named "Agony for Arthrogryposis" event organised by Kath Perry. Kath was more than willing to be a spectator and chief photographer at the event! She even tore a strip off some of the volunteers and spoke on local radio to publicise the event! The volunteers were Kath's husband Andy, Stu Jarman, Rob Lusher, Simon White, Martin Simmelker and Dave Hughes. Andy's brother, Glenn will also be having his nostrils and armpits waxed by a salon in Kent later in the week! Ouch!! (Photo's to follow!!). Kathy reports that she, and all the other spectators, thoroughly enjoyed the event, although she cannot speak for her volunteers! A generous customer who was having a manicure made a donation to rip a strip off Martin's chest, she even bought some champagne for everyone to celebrate the success of the event! The staff at The Vanity Room in Telford were fantastic, albeit a little bit tired after a gruelling day! The target of £250 was smashed and to date the "Agony for Arthrogryposis" Team have raised over £900 with sponsorship still coming in! To see more visit: www.justgiving.com/agonyforamc |
