HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are many ways you can help The Arthrogryposis Group to improve life for people with arthrogryposis across the UK. Why not share your time and talents with us and in turn we can promise you some fun and help you to gain new skills – all in the knowledge that you are aiding others to live a better life and feel less isolated and alone.

Not only do we need hands-on volunteers to help at our regional events, the Family Weekend and TAG Camp but we also require people to aid us in what may seem simple ways but each aspect will help us enormously – So, don’t think about it, just do it – we promise you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Volunteering

Whether it’s a few hours or a few days a month, we need your time. Becoming one of our volunteers can be a rewarding and valuable experience and we always have a range of interesting roles where we could use your skills.

'image - VolunteeringFrom my own experience, I know that insecurity about the caring aspect keeps a lot of people from volunteering, but you don’t know until you try, and it’s much, much easier to learn about these things from a group of switched on, bright youngsters who are the experts than trying to learn it second hand from others.

Every year it is a little bit different – volunteers change, new kids come and we do different things – but also a bit the same.  Yes, it is bloomin’ hard work.

But it’s also the most fun I’ve had in a long, long time Without wanting to sound clichéd, I came home feeling tired but elated.  I got to spend a week doing fun things with some of the nicest young people I’ve ever met.'

Employee volunteering offers direct benefits to the people with arthrogryposis that we work with. We would be delighted to work with your company to produce a bespoke volunteering strategy that will also help us to progress our organisational development plan. So why not consider motivating your staff through employee volunteering.
