FUND-RAISING ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

 Sailing is a popular past-timeFlora Light Women's Challenge has sent £20 being a contribution of £5 per entrant running for the Group in the Challenge held on 1st September. (We knew of three people running so who is the mystery fourth person?) We look forward to receiving their sponsorship in due course.

Julie and Quentin Edwards and family and friends raised £317.41 in a sponsored archery competition, involving three local archery clubs: South Moorlands, Leek and Meir all in Staffordshire.

Kerry O'Keefe's local, The Abbotsford, in Tranmere took TAG to heart and in an annual event to commemorate the death of a young man at the age of 36 sent the Group £500 as our share of the money raised for various charities at a Race Night. Our special thanks to Alex the owner of the pub and all those who bet and lost so much for such good causes.

Year 10 pupils (that's the 4th form to the older generation like me) at Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth raised £211 for the Group selling sweets and cakes over a week. Perhaps they should follow it up with a sponsored slim for those w ho bought too many cakes!

Audrey Maynard for donating her choir fees for singing at weddings in her parish church over the summer.

Kevin Whittaker, who many will know form his feature role in the TAG video, recently marked a special birthday, 40, and instead of presents asked his friends and family to donate to the Group. Cheques totaling £385 have been received.

Mrs G. Thornton £10 for D'arcy Linard who played her first netball game at school.

We also use this column to record gifts in memory of those who have died. Annie and Micky have received over £3,000 in memory of Eleanor and this has been shared TAG and Dame Hannah Rogers School where Eleanor was so happy as a pupil.

The Gang on the bridgeWestley Middle School Bury St Edmunds for £108.86 raised at a Carol Service. Thanks to the Anderson family for this connection.

Thanks to Mr and Mrs H Taylor from Shrivenham near Swindon for their continued support and a further donation of £30 in addition to their Associate Membership fees. We hold a Gift Aid declaration for the Taylor's so their gift is increased by the taxman by a further £8.40 on the donation alone!

Jean and Derek Gleave (friends of the Robinson family) for their annual Christmas Gift of £25 – again Gift Aided!

Linda Ettey reports: "I've just received a cheque for £400, from C&S Print Services Ltd, Weston Super-Mare, a company for which Clive Harrison is Director - his daughter Rebecca has arthrogryposis, and the Harrisons are stalwart supporters of TAG S.W."

Boalloy (the people who make the curtains for lorry trailers) Running Club in Congleton run for charity and each year split the proceeds between a couple of good causes put forward by members of the club. In 2003 the Club raised just under £4,000 and our share was £1935. Many thanks to Lee Campbell for putting the Group forward. Thanks to all those who contributed.
